About the conference

AIDP 2026, the 2026 Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Digital Pathology, takes place at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology from 27 to 29 November 2026.

As digital pathology advances, real-world generalizability remains a critical hurdle—an AI model that excels on one scanner often struggles on another. To address this, much of this year’s program centers on robust validation, examining whether algorithms truly hold across different clinical sites and diverse patient cohorts. Complementing this focus, dedicated sessions will explore multi-modal integration—pairing pathology images with molecular and clinical data—as well as the stringent evidentiary standards required by clinicians and regulatory bodies prior to diagnostic adoption.

Alongside oral presentations, AIDP 2026 features an interactive poster program. We actively encourage submissions of early-stage, work-in-progress findings alongside completed studies. The deadline for abstract submission is 13 November 2026, with acceptance notifications issued on 16 November.

Topics

  • Foundation models for digital pathology
  • Multimodal learning and vision–language models
  • Multi-omics integration for precision medicine
  • AI agents and automated pathology workflows
  • Clinical translation, validation, and deployment

Speakers

Eight invited speakers are confirmed, from Hong Kong, China Mainland, and the United States. Some read slides in diagnostic and clinical practice; others build the statistics and models behind pathology AI.

Program

The program is still being assembled. Two invited talks are confirmed: Prof. Mingyao Li of the University of Pennsylvania speaks on Saturday 28 November, 09:10–09:40, and Prof. Zhi Huang, who is also at Penn, on Sunday 29 November, 09:00–09:30. Further sessions will be added as they are confirmed.
